Introducing Bancroft’s Bourbon, Brews & BBQ event!

The Bourbon, Brews & BBQ event is three-fold: we want to showcase local craft distilleries, breweries, and wineries, promote the appreciation of competition BBQ in a fun-filled environment, and to support our community by donating proceeds of the event to the Bancroft Fire Department so they can purchase badly-needed updated equipment.

Teams are to be comprised of non-professionals that are required to cook chicken and pork ribs to win the Grand Championship. The cooking source at a Stand Alone Backyard Contest shall be of wood, wood pellets or charcoal. KCBS Backyard Rules and regulations apply. In addition, all KCBS team members who participate in a Backyard Sanctioned Contest earn points towards the KCBS Backyard Team of the Year.

While the BBQ event is taking place, several local craft distilleries, breweries, and wineries will be participating in a tasting event from 12pm-4pm. Each BBQ team will be given 2 general admission tickets to the tasting event from 1pm-4pm; participate must be 21+ to attend tasting.

Saturday, July 17 Schedule

  • 6:30am – Team Check in
  • 7:00am – Cooks Meeting
  • 12pm – Chicken Turn in
  • 12:30 – Pork Ribs Turn in
  • 1pm – 4pm Bourbon, Beer, & BBQ tasting event (Opens at 12pm for VIP ticket holders)
  • 2:30pm – BBQ Awards

Prizes/ Awards

  • Grand Champion $1000 + trophy
  • Reserve Champion $750 + trophy
  • 1st $250 + trophy
  • 2nd $100 + trophy
  • 3rd $75 + trophy
  • 4th $50
  • 5th $50

Camping will be available in Bancroft if you would like to set up for the weekend. Please purchase the separate camping ticket. No water or electricity hook-ups will be available.

No moving vehicles will be allowed in the fenced area after things are set up due to the tasting event.

Deadline to enter is June 30. No refunds will be issued, per event’s rules and regulations.
